Description
Has your organization struggled with the design of your SharePoint architecture to allow for scalability and growth, and to ensure that the stringent security required has been addressed? Have you wondered about the best practices for the configuration of an externally facing SharePoint site or extranet? If so, please join us for the June Pittsburgh Area SharePoint User Group meeting, as Isaiah Campbell, Practice Manager of sharepointhosting.com, discusses the planning and configuration associated with implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and externally available WSS and MOSS environments. This includes SAS 70 and ISO 9001, as well as HIPAA and SOX-compliant environments; multi-level firewall solutions, intrusion detection, and real-time monitoring and filtering of firewall sessions; and SAN-powered snap-shots, retention policies, and off-site replication. Time permitting; Isaiah will also discuss some of the SharePoint templates that Microsoft has made available, which SharePointHosting has implemented for their customers. Thanks to Allin for sponsoring the user group.
