Presenter
Bruce Weaver, Technical Solutions Professional with Microsoft Corporation
Description
Join us for the April SharePoint User Group meeting as Bruce Weaver, Technical Solutions Professional with Microsoft Corporation, discusses ad-hoc collaboration with Microsoft Groove and SharePoint technologies.  As a component of Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, Groove 2007 is focused on enabling ad-hoc teams to co-ordinate information, share files, and work on projects.  As a desktop application, Groove enables Office users to create secure workspaces and invite other team-members to join – without placing additional burden on IT staff & resources.  Team members may consist of other users within a corporation, or across corporations and can use the workspace when connected to a network, or off-line.  Office Groove 2007 introduces integration with Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 with its ability to synchronize SharePoint document libraries for off-line use.  Future versions of the Office System will enhance these integrations as Groove continues its evolution as a rich client for Office SharePoint sites.  Join us to learn more about Groove, and how it augments & compliments Office SharePoint solutions.
